The Summer School is co-organized by ESHET (European Society for the History of Economic Thought), PHARE, (Centre for the Philosophy, History and Analysis of Economic Representation, University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, University of Insubria, University of Milan, and STOREP (Associazione Italiana per la Storia dell’Economia Politica).
ESHET is a scientific society that was founded in 1995 with the aim of promoting teaching and research in the history of economic thought in Europe (http://www.eshet.net). Every year ESHET, with the financial support of the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and other institutions, has organized a summer school in the history of economic thought, economic philosophy and economic history for PhD students and young scholars from all over the world. Previous summer schools have taken place in Cargèse, France (2016), Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany (2015), Zaragoza, Spain (2014), Ankara, Turkey (2013). The summer school taking place in Como will be the 20th ESHET summer school in the history of economic thought, economic philosophy and economic history.
